High Five For Friday- 13.01.17

Hello Friends!  This has been quite an exciting, yucky and busy week in our neck of the woods.  Seriously... I am not sure how we crammed it all into just 7 days!  Here are the 5 highlights from my week: (with only one photo because it really was a busy week!)

1.)  Last Friday night, I took to my self-care routine.  Miss. E had a nasty stomach bug and I had spent 3 days and 2 nights taking care of her.  Hubby took over Friday night which meant that I had the evening free to myself.  I soaked in the tub and read a book.  I used a hair mask and a face mask that I had in the house (nope- I didn't break the no-spend rule!).  It was so relaxing and I felt so good afterward!

2.)  As I said above, Miss. E had a stomach bug which wasn't much fun.  She was feeling more like herself on Saturday afternoon, which was great!

3.)  I purged 5 photo albums worth of pictures.  It might sound harsh, but pretty much all of those pictures were scenic views, wild animals (that dot in the distance is actually a huge moose!), doubles that I ordered that no one wanted or blurry photos.  It felt so good to clean out my photo collection.  I also purged a few more items including C.D.s, DVDs, and old yearbooks.

4.)  It was a pretty good week at work.  We had a nice flow of patients and my equipment didn't break down.

5.)  We bought a house!  After much discussion, we have decided to stay in our small town for the next number of years.  We both have work here, there is family close by and we are both craving more stability after last year. We found a house just before Christmas and we lifted conditions this week.  We are so excited!  We get possession halfway through February.  In case you were wondering, I am not counting this as a strike against my No-Spend Year.  Ha ha!  It is a family purchase and one that we have been talking about for some time.  I will, however, be sticking to my "no household decor" rule.  We will have some minor fixes and repairs to do, but I won't be purchasing any new pictures or furniture.

How was your week?  Join in H54F with the lovely ladies below and tell us all about it!
